Kerolos Fahmi
Dr. Kerolos Fahmi, MD is an interventional cardiologist joining Heart, Vascular and Vein of Tampa Bay. He was born in Egypt and grew up in the Tampa Bay Area. He obtained his bachelor’s degree from the University of South Florida where he majored in biomedical science and minored in public health and biomedical physics.
He earned his medical degree in 2014 from the University of South Florida Morsani College of Medicine and continued there to complete his internal medicine residency in 2017. Dr. Fahmi completed his general cardiology fellowship at the University of Florida Health – Jacksonville in 2020, where he also served as chief fellow. He then went on to complete his interventional cardiology fellowship in 2021 at UF Health – Jacksonville.
Dr. Fahmi is board-certified in internal medicine, cardiovascular disease as well as board eligible in interventional cardiology. He is also certified by the National Board of Echocardiography and the Board of Nuclear cardiology.
In addition to his training, Dr. Fahmi has also contributed to several research publications in the field of cardiology and internal medicine and has participated in medical mission trips to Bolivia and Brazil.
He is a member of the American College of Cardiology (ACC), American College of Physicians (ACP) and Society for Cardiovascular Angiography and Interventions (SCAI).
In his spare time, Dr. Fahmi enjoys hiking and going to the beach with his wife and his dog, cheering on Tampa Bay sports teams and volunteering at his church.
